Abstract

The Mode I and II fracture response of steel fibre-reinforced concrete is investigated experimentally at the single fibre and coposite scale. A constitutive material model is developed and is implemented in a numerical procedure via a user material (UMAT) in the commercial finite element package ABAQUS. An empirical model reconciles the single fibre and composite scale for Mode II fracture.
