Abstract

This paper proposes the wind turbine emulator for wind power generation systems. The focus is on simulation of the operation of wind turbines at different wind speeds to test the capacity and efficiency of generating three-phase electricity. The wind turbine emulator consists of a simulation program and a mechanical part. To simulate the power generation system of wind turbines, researchers use a 400-watt permanent magnet synchronous generator wind turbine connected to a 400-watt servo motor with a built-in absolute encoder and controlled by a servo driver. The motor's torque is controlled by data from mathematical equations in the MATLAB model.
