Abstract
This study aims to determine the impact of IFRS implementation on financial reporting transparency in public companies. This research approach collects data through a literature review, involving reading literature from various sources, including books, reports, articles, and journals, using qualitative and deductive approaches. The results of this study indicate that IFRS implementation has a positive impact on financial reporting transparency in public companies, through broader information disclosure, greater comparability between companies, and increased reliability and dependability of financial data. This standard also strengthens management accountability and investor confidence in the integrity of financial reporting. However, IFRS implementation is not without challenges, such as limited human resources, high implementation costs, differences in standard interpretations, and potential volatility due to the use of fair value. However, these challenges can be overcome through ongoing training programs, regulatory oversight, and adjustments to accounting information systems.
