Abstract
The paper presents the investigations of the shape of single tracks formed by the laser cladding method and distribution of ceramic particles in them. The laser effect on the powder mixture was optimized, which resulted in the formation of pore-free clad tracks. We have found that the initial concentration of ceramics in the powder mixture influences intensively on the track geometrical shape. It is demonstrated that at the higher ceramics concentration in the clad powder, ceramic particles are oriented over the track edges.
