Abstract

The purpose of this article is to show some critical ideas on the historiographic trajectory of assistance, poverty and social policies in Mexico. The main narrative is an overview of themes and implications of historical studies between liberal reforms on last decades of nineteenth century and the early years of the post-revolution period. My article shows critical contributions and recent exploration of poverty and social assistance in mexican history.
