Abstract

Economic development is closely related to the energy industry. With the rapid economic growth and the continuous improvement of people's living standards, China's demand for energy is also increasing. How to properly handle the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth is of great significance for the sustainable development in China. In this article, we have made research on co-integration and causality of China's energy consumption and economic growth. We have obtained conclusions that there is a long-term stable relationship between energy consumption and economic growth, and there is a unidirectional causality from economic growth to energy consumption.
