Abstract

The described magnetic method for isolation of mouse glomeruli is simple and yields glomeruli in sufficient purity and quantity to allow for quantitation of deposits. The inaccuracies resulting from the small number of glomeruli in a dilute solution were overcome by assaying radioactivity in the same glomeruli actually counted on a given filter. Quantitation of immune deposits by the described methods can be used to complement and extend immunofluorescence microscopic observations on immune deposit formation in mouse glomeruli.
