Abstract
Many studies have suggested that spirituality has a positive effect on academic performance. This small study reviews literature on performance and spirituality, and compares students’ attributions of the causes of their academic success or failure across a secular and religiously affiliated colleges, finding similar results: students who do well credit their spirituality as the major cause, and students who do poorly blame their lack of spirituality as being a major cause for their poor academic performance.
