Abstract
The new experimental data obtained by Shibata et al. to the predictions of an improved steady-state analytical model for the particle pushing/engulfment transition (PET) developed by D.M. Stefanescu and A.V. Catalina are compared. Two types of inclusions were analyzed, namely alumina clusters and complex silicate/aluminate globular particles.
