Abstract
The objective of this project is to deliver electricity and raise awareness of the importance of providing renewable energy in places where there is a lack of basic services due to the lack of resources for these areas, since due to their geographical characteristics they are difficult to access or very remote. The project was implemented in the Simón Bolívar Basic Education School located in the community of La Masa 2 in the province of Guayas, where the main problem is the lack of electricity to provide classes to children in the initial stage; at the same time, by implementing this project, tools are provided that allow learning with technologies such as ICTs and with the lighting of their classrooms allow more hours of study, more concentration and less reading effort. This work also describes everything related to the community La Masa 2, providing data on its population, number of houses, activities, religion, and how they generate energy in order to establish the needs of the community. This information was obtained through bibliographic and field research to generate new works that contribute to the development of the community. Finally, a 400 W isolated functional photovoltaic system was delivered, through the study of load and demand necessary for the sizing of the generator, accumulator, charge controller and inverter, which was conducted both analytically and simulated by software; the hours of use of the system per day (6 h) were determined. A computer was also provided by the Salesian Polytechnic University, which will be of help to facilitate the study of its students.
