Abstract

Jabodetabek is one of the urban growth areas that has a significant impact on the change in land use. This study aims to determine the influence of urban growth on land use in the Jabodetabek region. The research method used is a spatial approach. The data were obtained through secondary data from Landsat 8 OLI images sourced from the USGS website. The data processing used the supervised method. Based on the result from 2011 to 2017 the largest increase in land use occurred in green open space with an increase of +5.64% and the largest reduction in land use occurred in rice fields with an area of -5.38%. Meanwhile on 2017 to 2022, the largest increase occurred in settlement land at +9.41%, and the largest land reduction occurred in rice fields with an area of -11.11%. The growth of settlement areas causes changes in land use in urban areas and results in the phenomenon of Urban Sprawl, which is the emergence of new settlements in some areas without planning.
