Abstract

Trigeminal neuralgia can induce high incapacity. Currently, when medical therapy fails, its management is debated between destructive and microvascular decompression techniques. Both have reach good results, nevertheless microvascular decompression seems to have better and longer pain relief with functional preservation of the V cranial nerve. ©INNN, 2005.
