Abstract

The aim of the present research is to educe the environmental aspects of sustainable development of the regional areas. At present the ecological factors determine largely the opportunities for the economic strength of the regional systems. The article presents the index calculation of the environmental sustainability of the regional system using the example of the Kirov Region. As a result of the research, it was defined that the development of the ecological situation in the region is inclined to be sustainable, and at the same time it is uptrending. The main factors that hamper the improvement in the development of the environmental sustainability of the regional system were educed, some solutions of the problems were offered.
