Abstract

A series of chemically modified aryl-aldehyde Schiff bases has been synthesized and tested for their antioxidant activity and radiation protection. We observed that disulfide-containing aryl-aldehyde Schiff base 6c exhibited potent free radical scavenging, antioxidation, and radioprotection activities. © 2003 Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
