Were the most important stressing agents were conflicts/pressure nd fitness /injury. Sleep quality was the less significant factor for recovery. Conclusion. This study shows and appropriate stress-recovery profile in this sample. It also shows the importance of the identification of stress-recovery profile, in order to prevent the destructive effects of focusing exclusively on training loads. Further studies with Costa Rican athletes in this research area are needed. © 2014: Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Murcia.
