Abstract
We report here a method that utilizes a photoactivatable drug-caged fluorophore conjugate to quantify intracellular drug trafficking processes at single cell resolution. Photoactivation is performed in labeled cellular compartments to visualize intracellular drug exchange under physiological conditions, without the need for washing, facilitating its translation into in vivo cancer models. © 2013 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
