A single-session mark recapture method of population estimation

Abstract

A method of estimating the size of bird populations on the basis of multiple captures within the same session is described. Examples of its use, particularly in ordinary mist-netting situations, are described, and the limits of its applicability are investigated. © 1983 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
