Abstract

The syntax of compound utterances is more complex than sentence syntax, since there is not necessarily a correspondence between its formal structure and its semantic and pragmatic structure. The same lack of correspondence, that we have called structural anisomorphism, is found in more complex constructions, such as the syntax of microdiscourses.
