Abstract
The complete mol-ecule of the title compound, C28H 24N2O2, is generated by a centre of inversion (at the mid-point of the N - N bond). The substituents at the ends of the C=N bonds adopt an E,E configuration. The central -CH=N - N=CH- fragment is planar, but as a whole the mol-ecule is not: the benz-yloxy group is rotated about the O - C bond by 69.3 (2)° with respect to the plane of the benzyl-idene hydrazine unit.
