Abstract

This extended abstract presents the results of an empirical study that details how two web design companies use design thinking (DT) as a user-centered, collaborative, and recursive process to design websites for clients and users. The study finds that DT works as an effective process for designing websites and is particularly effective at uncovering user pain points and generating innovative solutions to address those problems.
