Cultures ethnopsychiatriques et savoirs hors sujet : Le dogme de l'exclusion

Abstract

The authors are intersted in the « therapeutic devices » that are qulified as « intercultural » and are supposed to be based on a truth that starts from ethnographic knowleddge of the other. They show that, as an exiled the foreign patient knows that he is no longer in this elsewhere symbolic system, and that to send him back there imaginatively via a framework of care, were it by ethnopsychiatry, can only be mere inveiglement. The patient comes out with utterance of an ethnic subconscious where subjects of the same ethnic group are as if cast the same cultural symbolic system which takes the form of a genetic coding, which in addition, abolishes the subjective differences even where cultural differences are preached.
