Abstract
Night waking is a common sleep disturbance in young infants, but the causes are not well understood. This report describes an infant with frequent night awakenings that appeared to respond to a shift of the sleep schedule. The night awakening frequency slope showed a significant change (p < 0.005) after the intervention of awakening the child at 0700 h every day and not allowing naps to begin after 1100 h.
