Abstract

This research aims to study the characteristics of the Quiesy Basin, whose area is (220,02 km2), which is a seasonal primary runoff located in the north west of Iraq, using the Soil Conservation systems (SCS-CN) model, and using GIS, The process of merging a number of pellets (land uses, soil fao and depth of rain) and then obtaining theirdigital eraser CN, which in turn was possible to obtain other characteristics, the maximum potential for the chandeliers to retain water after its flowing hand reached(S), the first extraction (Ia), the depthof runoff (Q), Flow Volume (QV), where is the importance of the basin from the hydrological point of view, as the values of)CN(in the basin increased, where the average values were (84.7), the average values of (S) (48.38m), and the average of values was (Ia) (9.67m). As for (Q) the average value was (188.29m), while the volume of (QV) in the basin was (414287.2m 3), These resuts constitute a database aimed at the development of the basin.
