Abstract

Problem Based Learning (PBL) is becoming one of essential strategy to overcome some problems in teaching process. It has also become a strategy to enhance student's analysis skill. Moreover, PBL can trigger students' critical thinking in learning activities. Fiqh is one subject which need a deep thinking in applying the role or law in Islam. Learning fiqh means a process of deriving the law to use in daily life. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview related to the effectiveness of PBL in teaching fiqh in terms of enhancing Critical Thinking. This study adopted a systematic review literature to investigate the effectiveness of PBL applied in fiqh. This study presents an elaboration of the steps on how fiqh teaching is conducted. The data was collected by analyzing several literatures that discussed the effect of PBL on students' learning outcome. The are sort through some steps and is taken from several database which is collected from thousand till last twelve articles. The result revealed that the essence of problem based learning influence students' skill in resolving the problem through scientific methodology.
