Abstract
Perennial crops such as avocados (Persea americana), guarantee food security and improve land productivity. Sustainability was determined in two types of production systems: an organic farm (FO) and two conventional farms (FC1 and FC2), located in the Santa Rosalía village in Huaura, Lima. The MESMIS methodology was used for characterization and construction of five indicators per dimension: environmental, economic and social, based on representative critical points. These were measured on a scale from 1 to 4, considering optimal values for each one, and radial graphs by dimension were elaborated. The organic farm will stand out in environmental sustainability, unlike conventional farms. The three farms reached the sustainable level in the economic and social dimensions. However, there are critical points that, with changes in their management, better results would be achieved.
