Abstract

Although infestation with Giardia lamblia is a recognised cause of failure to thrive in children, it may be underestimated as a cause of gastrointestinal symptoms in adults.1 We describe three elderly patients in whom unsuspected infestation with G lamblia was detected on biopsy of the small bowel. © 1986, British Medical Journal Publishing Group.
