DESENVOLVIMENTO DE COMPETÊNCIAS PARA O SÉCULO XXI: A INFLUÊNCIA DA IA E DAS TECNOLOGIAS NO CURRÍCULO EDUCACIONAL

Abstract

This research analyzed the development of competencies for the twenty-first century and the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies on the educational curriculum. The central problem investigated was to identify how technologies and AI are shaping the skills needed for the future and their impact on curriculum structuring. The general objective was to analyze the integration of 21st century skills in educational curricula, highlighting the role of AI and technologies in this process. The methodology used was the literature review, with a qualitative approach, including the analysis of recently published materials. The results indicated that AI and emerging technologies are driving a significant redesign of curricula, emphasizing competencies such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy. The practices of integrating these competencies vary, involving project-based learning, use of advanced digital tools, and development of programming skills. The survey highlighted the importance of a balanced approach that considers both technical and socio-emotional skills. The final considerations pointed out that, despite the advances, the effective implementation of these competencies in the curriculum still faces significant challenges. Investments in educator training, technological infrastructure, and innovative educational policies are essential to prepare students for the demands of the twenty-first century. The need for future studies was highlighted to explore effective methodologies for assessing these competencies and their long-term impact.Esta pesquisa analisou o desenvolvimento de competências para o século XXI e a influência da Inteligência Artificial (IA) e das tecnologias emergentes no currículo educacional. O problema central investigado foi identificar como as tecnologias e a IA estão moldando as competências necessárias para o futuro e seu impacto na estruturação curricular. O objetivo geral foi analisar a integração de competências do século XXI nos currículos educacionais, destacando o papel da IA e das tecnologias nesse processo. A metodologia utilizada foi a revisão bibliográfica, com uma abordagem qualitativa, incluindo a análise de materiais publicados recentemente. Os resultados indicaram que a IA e as tecnologias emergentes estão impulsionando uma reformulação significativa dos currículos, enfatizando competências como pensamento crítico, criatividade, colaboração e alfabetização digital. As práticas de integração dessas competências variam, envolvendo aprendizagem baseada em projetos, uso de ferramentas digitais avançadas e desenvolvimento de habilidades de programação. A pesquisa destacou a importância de uma abordagem equilibrada que considere tanto as habilidades técnicas quanto as socioemocionais. As considerações finais apontaram que, apesar dos avanços, a implementação efetiva dessas competências no currículo ainda enfrenta desafios significativos. Investimentos em formação de educadores, infraestrutura tecnológica e políticas educacionais inovadoras são essenciais para preparar os alunos para as demandas do século XXI. A necessidade de estudos futuros foi ressaltada para explorar metodologias eficazes de avaliação dessas competências e seu impacto a longo prazo.
