Abstract
PT. Triaryani is a coal mining company that uses the open pit mining method, located in North Musirawas Regency, South Sumatra Province. In survey activities, this company uses two methods of measuring data, namely the terrestrial method and the photogrammetric method. The purpose of this study is to model the stockpile and calculate the volume of the stockpile quickly and precisely. The terrestrial method is used to measure the volume of overburden, while the photogrammetric method is used to measure the volume of coal in the stockpile. In this study, the focus is on measuring the volume of coal in the stockpile. Measurement using the photogrammetric method is a measurement method carried out using a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) vehicle. This method is used by calculating the volume of coal using the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) which is formed from UAV aerial photo data. The DEM data is obtained from aerial data in the form of a single photo which is then converted in orthophoto form into DEM data. This method has several advantages, including ease of calculation and shortening the measurement time of coal volume. The results of this study are orthophoto and DEM models, and the total volume of coal in the PT. Triaryani stockpile is 20,313.3 m3 with a cross-sectional area of 11,375 m2 in this stockpile that can accommodate more than 25,000 tons.
