Abstract

The article discusses research being done on the effect of dietary protein content on weight gain, energy expenditure and body composition during overeating. It references a study by G. A. Bray et al., published in the "Journal of the American Medical Association" in 2012. The researchers found a reduced weight gain in individuals if the diet has a low protein content. The study also showed that overeating did not significantly affect energy expenditure.
