Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of distributed school leadership on teachers oranizational commitment and investigate whether teachers`collective effectiveness mediates the relationship between distributed leadership and organizational commitment of teachers. The study voluntarily involved 491 educators primary education (356 women and 135 men) in practice, belonging to five regions of the country. The research was developed through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyzes and the application of structural equations to determine the relationships between the variables of the proposed causal model. The results show that the goodness of fit of the model is satisfactory. In the development of the proposed model, it was found that distributed leadership has a direct effect on the organizational commitment of teachers and the collective efficacy of teachers is an effective variable of mediation between distributed leadership and the commitment of teachers, enhancing the effect that the distributed leadership has on the teaching commitment.
