Abstract

AbstractThis research was inspired by students' learning obstacles of visual representation in the cross-linguistic of Pythagorean Theorem material. The method used was a research and development based on ADDIE (Analyze Design Develop Evaluate). Analyze, the researcher analyzed the learning process to know students' learning obstacles in Pythagorean Theorem material. Design, the researcher designed an instrument to solve the problem. Develop, the researcher developed an instrument that has been designed based on student's needs. The students' learning obstacles has detected in the pre-test. Implementation, the researcher implemented the instrument that has been arranged before. Evaluate, the researcher evaluated the instrument based on the result. The subjects used in this research were ten 12th grade students in the Science department of SMA Negeri 1 Sandai. The result revealed the visual representation in the cross-linguistic that has been developed could solve students' learning obstacles. It was proved by the decreasing of students' learning obstacles index. Keywords: Cross-Linguistic, Pythagorean Theorem, Visual Representation
