Abstract

The adoption of fintech has changed the financial services industry and provided creative solutions that promise simplicity and efficiency. However, the use of these technologies is not without its difficulties. Using the framework of innovation resistance theory, this study examines resistance issues in the context of fintech adoption. We identify and analyze important resistance elements, spanning psychological, and functional dimensions, through an extensive assessment of the literature and empirical research. The study emphasizes the necessity for specific initiatives to address these barriers to adoption and promote greater uptake of fintech. Additionally, it emphasizes the significance of ongoing research to adjust to changing consumer perceptions and technical contexts. This study adds to our understanding of fintech uptake and offers useful information for financial technology academics, practitioners, and policymakers.
