Abstract
A 3D metal-organic framework {[Cd2(TZ)3(BDC)0.5]·5H2O}n (1·5nH2O) (HTZ = 1H-tetrazole, H2BDC = 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid), has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The phase purity was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), and the stability was identified by thermal gravimetric analysis (TG) and variable-temperature powder X-ray diffraction (VT-PXRD). The result of the single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis indicates that 1 is a novel 3D microporous metal-organic framework constructed from Cd(II) metal centers and mixed linkers of TZ− anions and BDC2− anions. Photoluminescent measurement elucidates that 1 displays a strong and broad emission peak at 423 nm, which suggests that 1 may be a potential purple-light material.
