Abstract
In order to simulate students' enthusiasm in English listeningand to improve teachers' teaching efficiency, application of computer multimediatechnology in English listening teaching has been wildly used. The purposeof this paper is to study the practical application of multimedia technology inEnglish listening teaching. This study also also aims to improve the cognitionof multimedia-assisted technology by exploring actual teaching cases. It willeliminate existing misunderstanding of assisting English listening teaching andimprove the teaching effect of English listening. In this study we first elaboratedthe theoretical basis of computer-assisted English listening teaching, andthen clarified the teaching requirements of multimedia-assisted English listeningteaching through questionnaires. Finally, the effect of computer-assistedmultimedia was evaluated through teaching comparative experiments. Thisstudy has important guiding significance in promoting diversified developmentof college English listening teaching and in developing students' English listeningability and improving teachers' teaching skills.
