Assessment and prospects of biogas use

Abstract

This article reveals the relevance of the use and development of an alternative source of heat and power supply, which is biogas. The potential of such a clean energy source is very great. The demand of countries for biogas is different, but it is constantly increasing every year. It opens up a platform for a variety of services that depend on economic and political priorities. Biogas can provide energy and heat as well as clean cooking fuels to get rid of traditional energy sources. Biogas production solves the problem of growing volumes of organic waste, which contributes to the reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions.
