Abstract

A method to measure single ion-nonelectrolyte friction coefficients of Spiegler is proposed. The electromotive force resulting from drag phenomena across a membrane is expressed by the flux of the nonelectrolyte and the friction coefficient. It is assumed that the thickness of the membrane is either known or can be determined independently. Copyright © 1989 Walter de Gruyter
