Abstract

Phthalocyanine compound and its application is one of the most active research directions in the optoelectronic materials field due to their excellent optical and electrical response properties. In this review, a summary is offered that the research progresses of phthalocyanine compounds in different optoelectronic material application fields, and the relationship between performance and molecular structure, crystalline form of phthalocyanines used as photovoltaic materials, thin film semiconductor materials, liquid crystal materials, photoconductive materials and electroluminescent materials in recent years. It is also discussed that there are problems in application research currently. Finally, some focuses for future study are projected. © 2013 Chinese Chemical Society & SIOC, CAS.
