Abstract

This study aimed to find solutions to the root causes of poverty in the industrial area of PT. Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara because industrial areas often experienced gaps in the distribution of economic benefits, resulting in social inequality. This study used a qualitative method. The informants of this study were the Jereweh District Government and Maluk District, PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, and the community, with a total of fifteen informants taken using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis techniques used Nvivo 12 Plus. The study results showed that the industrial area was connected to PT. Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara still had a significant economic gap between its communities. This study proposed policy recommendations based on four pillars: responsiveness, adaptability, collectivity, and innovation. Regarding responsiveness, increasing access to information through online platforms was a priority to ensure the community could access economic empowerment programs. Meanwhile, adaptability emphasized the active involvement of the community in the planning and implementation of programs, as well as the importance of transparency and accountability. Regarding collectivity, a communication forum was formed between the community, government, and industry to strengthen dialogue and cooperation. Finally, from the innovation side, it was suggested that the sharing economy and crowdfunding be implemented to expand access to capital for MSMEs and provide scholarships and social assistance to support education and social mobility. Addressing poverty in industrial areas requires a holistic and sustainable approach that actively involves various parties.
