Abstract
: the main objective of this research was to evaluate difficulties involving learning according to elementary school students in a school in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, and the effectiveness of using Design Thinking to improve it. 141 students participated in the evaluative research, which focused on the quantitative approach. In addition to improving performance in all areas, especially Science, History and Geography, the results indicate that Design Thinking contributed to respond to team challenges, to understand the purpose of the content and to other conditions implied in the research.
