Abstract
Three patients with osteoporosis secondary to systemic mastocytosis are described. With the exception of the typical rash of urticaria pigmentosa, spinal pain caused by osteoporosis was the most prominent symptom. Intermittent single i.v. infusions of pamidronate have controlled pain and improved lumbar spine bone density.
