Abstract

After World War II, the Argentine State developed large investments in the area of energy, and the construction of pipelines. To meet this demand, a traditional company, SIAM Di Tella, addressed the production of seamless pipes in 1948. However, the new company would not be very successful during the years of peronism, as a result of the shortcomings that were presented at the machine for the manufacture of large diameter pipes, which forced her to diversify their production.
