Abstract

A new genus is erected and characterized “ Schajovskoia Penco, Yakovlev et Naydenov, gen.n. (Lepidoptera: Cossidae, Hypoptinae) with one new species described and illustrated within it: Schajovskoia albomaculata Penco, Yakovlev et Naydenov, sp.n. from southern Argentina. The description is illustrated with the images of adults, the wings venation and male genital structures. The geographical distribution is provided.
