Abstract
Background of the study: Background of the study: The emergence of covid-19 has actually had a major impact on human life, as well as libraries. Purpose: As one of the organizations engaged in information services for library education, it is forced to "change" itself quickly. The change would be difficult if the library did not have a leader who was not capable of responding to the case. This study aims to determine the role of library leaders in maintaining service quality during the pandemic Method: This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach in explaining the role of the leadership in the library of the University of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo during the COVID-19 pandemic. Findings: The result of this discussion is known that the leadership is an important figure in the changes made by the library of the University of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo during the covid-19 covid-19 occurred. This can be seen from the policies issued during the Covid-19 pandemic happened. This can be seen from the policies issued during the Covid-19 pandemic such as the hallo librarian program, information literacy classes packaged in webinar series and administrative services which include free libraries, uploading works, checking plagiarism, other administrative activities that are also packaged in digital form. Conclusion: The complex collaboration of the leadership of the organization is very pronounced in this regard. Some of these abilities include skills / abilities such as technical, conceptual and humane abilities.
