Abstract

Bangladesh is largely covered by alluvium laid down by these river , the Ganges, Bhahmaputra and Meghna. Structurally, the Bangladesh portion of the Bengal Basin can be subdivided into 3 units namely, lhe Pre-Cambrian Plarfortn, the Deeper Basin and the Folded Flank of the Chitlagong trough.
