RISKS AND PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN MUSIC EDUCATION

Abstract

The development of digital technologies inrecent decades has led to thedigitalization of society, affecting all spheres of culture, including music education. The article analyzes legislative documents related to the digital transformation of higher and primary education. This analysis showed that for teachers and students of music educational institutions, the latest technologies give positive results in terms of developing motivation, communication skills and cognitive abilities of students. However, the digitalization of society entails negative trends that are fraught with the destruction of humans as a biological species. One of these trends is associated with the invention of “smart machines” that can replace it in areas where speed and accuracy of data processing are required, working with large amounts of information. However, attempts are being made to delegate to the machine those abilities that have always been considered exclusively the prerogative of man – the ability to think, create, and make decisions. The introduction of artificial intelligence into the process of creating works of art or teaching art objects can have unpredictable consequences for modern society. Another danger is the creation of cyborgs, interference with the natural nature of man. Musical art is one of the unique means that contribute to the preservation of humanity in the world of digitalization, and music education is designed to convey the human dimension of culture – feelings, values, beliefs, tastes.
