Abstract

The N‐glycosidic carbohydrate chains of Panulirus interruptus hemocyanin, consisting of only mannose and N‐acetylglucosamine residues, were liberated by hydrazinolysis of a pronase digest of the purified glycoprotein. The carbohydrate chains were fractionated by high‐voltage paper electrophoresis, yielding mainly neutral oligosaccharide‐alditols. These were further separated by high‐performance liquid chromatography and characterized by 500‐MHz 1H‐NMR spectroscopy as (Formula Presented.) Copyright © 1986, Wiley Blackwell. All rights reserved
