Abstract

This article summarizes a 12-city case study1 done for the USDA Forest Service by the Syracuse Research Corporation on political and administrative factors and processes in urban-forestry programs. Findings and recommendations on organization, activities, communication and information networks, and the political and policy environment surrounding urban-forestry programs are characterized.
