Abstract

More and more of the everyday objects we design have the ability to send and receive information. In the coming “internet of things,” how can we avoid adding to what is already a surfeit of information? And how can we best preserve our humanity in the face of an onslaught of conflicting and biased bits of “knowledge?”Where is “the internet of things” heading, and what does it mean for us as human beings?
