Abstract

Security is the main concern for wireless sensor nodes and exposed against malicious attacks. To safe the communication between sensor nodes several key managing arrangements are already implemented. The key managing method for any protected application must minimally delivers safety facilities such as truthfulness. Diffie-Hellman key exchange in the absence of authentication is vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks. We have presented an algorithm (DH-SAM) based on Diffie-Hellman to detect and mitigate Sybil attack with the objective of solving this issue. Performance evaluation of DH-SAM is done by considering three performance metrics detection rate, throughput, and Average End-to-End Delay.
