(E)-Benzoyl[1-(2-hydroxyethyl)imidazolidin-2-yl-idene]acetonitrile

Abstract

In the title compound, C14H15N3O2, the C=C(H) - C=O grouping and the imidazolidine ring are coplanar as a result of an intra-molecular N - H⋯O hydrogen bond and extended electronic conjugation. Inter-molecular N - H⋯O and O - H⋯N hydrogen bonds help to establish the packing. © International Union of Crystallography 2008.
